Innovation, research, coherence, new materials and flexible solutions have been the key concepts of Agape’s business philosophy since it was established in 1973.
The company’s mission is to make the bathroom a more comfortable and aesthetically stimulating space by rethinking conventional typologies.
Agape has invested significant resources in research and development, involving protagonists of Italian design such as as Marco Ferreri, Konstantin Grcic, Claudio La Viola, Enzo Mari, Angelo Mangiarotti, Giuseppe Pasquali and Patricia Urquiola, as well as talented young designers such as Fabio Bortolani, Alessandro Farnetti, Giulio Gianturco, Ermanno Righi, Maurizio Negri, Carlo Tinti, Borin/Gibertini/Vittori, Marco Zito and, above all, relying on Giampaolo Benedini, co-founder of the company. His work as designer and art director for Agape is now supported by his wife Bibi and daughter Camilla, with whom he established Benedini Associati in 1999. His brother Emanuele has been the company’s CEO since 1990.
Agape’s role as market leader in its business sector is witnessed by the ability of its products catalogue to respond to the most diverse needs. Its various product ranges, components and accessories form an integrated system based on design principles informed by constantly updated research into aesthetics, functions and technology.
With more than 70% of its turnover being generated by exports to 40 different countries, Agape is well placed to compete in the global market, thanks to a selected network of 700 distributors in Italy and abroad.
Agape is also a regular exhibitor at the most significant world trade fairs.Agape is represented internationally with further ‘shop-in-shop’ outlets as well as with eight monobrand stores in Mantua, Munich, Turin, Bologna, Montreux, Berlin, Porto and Tokyo.
All showrooms have been designed not only to showcase products, but also to offer client support and design services.
The decision to consolidate Agape’s roots in its local context led to its move to new headquarters in Correggio Micheli, in the Mincio Nature Reserve, in 2001. The new buildings, surrounded by the green expanse of the park, are used for training, design, research and management.

Salon "89 by Quatum" in Krunska str. 89., Belgrade, has been officialy opened on 24th of October. We will try to explain in few words the concept that lies behind this project. In the beginning we set two main objectives.
First, asign minimum level of intervention on the object where salon is situated considering that it is a family house from 1924. built in classic academism style.
Second, set up several unfinished bathroom models and let everyone who visit to add some personal touch to them.
Along with our own pieces of furniture or furniture that we have chosen from cataloque of our partners (Agape, Tenda Dorica), we select products from other manufacturers that show inovative design, high build quality and attention to details. Neutral design of floor and wall tiles allow expression of details and easy transformations.

During the 44th International fair of furniture, equipment and interior design in Belgrade, we presented products from our partners AGAPE and ARTQUITECT (bathroom furniture and equipment), ARIOSTEA (granite ceramics) and some of our own designs by our architects Ivana Kovačević and Ana Veljković. We received an award from the jury of Belgrade fair for overall quality of our presentation booth. We also received award for the quality of presentation of our partners from ULUPUDS (Artists and designers alliance of Serbia).
